Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange programme for entrepreneurs, which offers new or aspiring entrepreneurs (NEs) the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced (host) entrepreneur (HE) from another country and strengthen the skills they need to develop their company.
It also offers experienced entrepreneurs the opportunity to share knowledge with motivated new entrepreneurs and get valuable input from their fresh ideas. The exchange can last for between one and six months and is partly financed by the European Commission.
Both the new and the experienced entrepreneur can benefit from the collaboration by discovering new European markets or business partners and learning different ways of doing business. The new entrepreneur receives a monthly allowance directly from the European Commission and will be working for the experienced (host) entrepreneur for 1 to 6 months, without receiving an additional allowance or salary from the host entrepreneur.
The participating countries are: All the EU member States, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, FYROM, Iceland, Montenegro, Moldova, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Israel and Singapore.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs (EYE) is run by a network of local contact points (IOs), selected by the European Commission to provide entrepreneurs with support and assistance to find the proper business relationship that matches their requirements.
GrantXpert Consulting (www.grantxpert.eu) is a member of E4IC System, a consortium of local contact points in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Sweden and Lithuania, with the aim to guide new and experienced entrepreneurs throughout the exchange. GrantXpert provides full support and guidance for all people living in Cyprus that interested in participating in this programme, without any charge.
